I’d just like to take this opportunity to ask, “Did you know that Nebraska is the only Unicameral state?”. This isn’t a new thing I just learned, by any means. BUT I just had my Government and Politics of Nebraska class tonight so my head is full of all things Nebraska. Not to mention my classmates’ opinions of the war in Iraq and all that other good stuff. You glean all sorts of gems from these situations. Anyway, unicameral means a one-house legislature. We have a non-partisan (no party = no Dems or Republicans) legislature with only just state senators, not senators AND representatives like everyone else has. It’s way nice, in my thinking. I’m sure you’re all bored with this sort of thing but, as a Political Science major and a resident of Nebraska, I find it quite interesting.
Moving on: Today felt like a victory (somewhat) on the afternoon shift at the hhop. It didn’t start off that well though. We had a staff meeting and sometimes I really hate these since they last so longand cut into my shift before the Lord and we talk about seemingly-irrelevant things. Today we were talking about issues that we really can’t do anything about now (such as lack of people and space) but will have to be dealt with in the future. It was rather frustrating to talk (and listen) for two hours without really coming up with any solutions. We went from there into a reeeally good M2J (that really moved me) and an almost-equally good contemplative time. After that Sarah and I got a talking-to about our reluctance for the Afghanistan intercession watch and we came out of it feeling much better and it went much better and all that. It felt good to be obedient and rather cheerful. God sure knows what He’s doing.
I’m a bad girl and am wasting my time. I have school tomorrow and here I am sitting up late on the computer. I need to concentrate on school for at least 3 days a week and here I am fizzling on Wednesday night.
I want to be found faithful, I want to be found steady until the end….
