So, I’ve been reading God’s Smuggler, it’s the story of Brother Andrew. I don’t know if they ever say his last name in it because it was written in the sixties or seventies when the Iron Curtain was still up. He was a Dutch missionary to Eastern Europe during the days of the Communists. It’s very inspiring. Oh man, I need to let my sister use the computer. Too bad, this post never really got off the ground.
Look, my last post was called “Snow, snow, snow”… Today it was 70ish degrees and STILL SUNNY when I got out of the HoP today a little after 5 pm. It’s so nice this week, I love it. I love snow too but it’s nice to have sunshine too. I like having different seasons.
We had hoagies for supper at home today, mmmmm… Hoagies are one of those things that makes me wish I could eat more at one time so I could eat more hoagies. I didn’t really like sauerkraut until I had hoagies.
I’m on Spring Break this week. I’m excited! I just love having a week off. I’m still busy at the HoP everyday but at least I don’t have to get up at 8:30 and then talk about poetry in Spanish, etc. It’s not that bad, it’s just kind of early. Anyway, I’m a Spring Break fan.
I saw Amazing Grace twice this weekend. I really like it. I also saw One Night With the King, I didn’t like that so much. It was kind of confusing and obviously is rather different from the book of Esther. I realize they did need to add a few things since the book doesn’t provide enough details for a long movie, but I thing they could’ve added things instead of changing things. Amazing Grace was really inspiring though.

So I had a snow day today! This is truly exciting because colleges rarely cancel classes, especially my college. I got up and saw that it was cancelled and then I went back to sleep for about three more hours. It felt good. And then we spent most of the day cleaning because a girl/woman/whatever (she’s 33, but is single and seems younger) from the HoP is moving in with us for a few months. At least, I think she is.
My dad went to work early in the morning, probably before the snow was very deep, and he isn’t back yet because the highways between here and his work were closed and the city (not Omaha but rather close) where he works is in a snow emergency.

So, last night was fun. We went out to eat for Taylar’s 14th and Josh’s 21st birthday in the Old Market and then walked around and ate ice cream. It was a little chilly but it seemed relatively warm to us Midwesterners accustomed to the freezing weather we’ve been having. It was over freezing but not by much. It felt good.
The HHOP conference was amazing, as usual. We don’t have bad ones, you know. We had a big surprise though. Misty Edwards came! Brian Kim and Grace Falkner were our main people and they brought Jacob Hanley and Misty with them. Man, I love them all. They were so nice and fun. They were a huge blessing, for real.
I’m interested in Isaiah 32, I think.

You know what would be cool? If someone actually read my blog and wanted to know about my life, that’s what would be cool. Ah well, what can ya do?
I’m trying to finish a chapter presentation for my Brazilian history class. It’s over the chapter on Carnival and I’m not really digging this whole Live-wildly-and-promiscuously-for-five-days-and-then-fast-40-for-Lent thing. It’s kind of like Mardi Gras in New Orleans only BIGGER. Anyway, I need to finish this so I can go to sleep sometime tonight.
Just a note: we got a new full-timer at the HHOP! Brandon is joining us (again) to the be the media man for the house. This is exciting.

I love that song “Your Glory Will Cover the Earth” by Justin Rizzo. It just moves me.
Sings:
And I believe heaven’s coming down, Jesus will reign on the earth…
Anyway, I love Jesus and I’m praying that He helps me with this little paper that I need to write for my class tomorrow night.
It is verrrry cold. Well, today it was warm at 30 degrees but that was just one day and tomorrow it goes right back to 10 or fewer degrees, I think. Whatever it is, it’s pretty cold.

So, here I am in Kansas City, enjoying the nephew and the close proximity of IHOP to my present location. Soon I need to go pick my sister-in-law up from her dance class that I guess they put FMA females into? Maybe she just wanted to dance or something. We have pork chops for dinner and I heard that Misty is playing at the EGS tonight. It’s a good day except that I’m tired because I was at the prayer room til somewhat late last night and my people like to get up early for no reason. That doesn’t usually combine well for me. I usually try to ignore them for a while but of course I can hear Mikey “talking” so I eventually drag myself out of bed to play with him. And then I usually pretty tired the rest of the day. Ah well, I’ve only got one nephew so far. Right now he’s taking a nap with Grandpa, or Dad, as I like to call him.
Can’t wait for those pork chops.
